The Food Pantry provides emergency food to about 200 families per week.  The food pantry is supported by many churches and individuals in the Hattiesburg District of the United Methodist Church.  ESFC is an approved distribution agency of the Mississippi Food Network which provides for the purchase of USDA surplus food at a reasonable cost.  The food pantry is operated solely by volunteer workers and follows all the USDA guidelines for distribution of food to individuals.
