How You Can Help


 

If you can spend 1-5 hours per week engaging in any of these activities, please contact us.  We would love to have you join our team of volunteers.

  • Preparing teaching materials
  • Planning and preparing for special events and field trips
  • Preparing and serving snacks
  • Tutoring children in language arts and mathematics
  • Assisting with recreation, art, and sports activities for children
  • Leading or assisting with the Boy Scout Troop
  • Serving as a counselor/chaperone for Scout camping trips
  • Helping with the summer reading and recreation programs
  • Assisting with the program for teenage girls
  • Helping with building repairs
  • Painting
  • Beautifying and maintaining the grounds
  • Stocking pantry shelves with food
  • Packaging boxes for food distribution
  • Helping clients complete application forms
  • Carrying food boxes to cars for elderly and/or disabled clients
  • Transporting food from the Mississippi Food Network warehouse in Jackson
